Final conference of the project

The “Multicultural diversity – pillar for community development in Botosani, Iasi and Bistrita-Năsăud” involves organizing two conferences, at the beginning and the end of the implementation of activities.

The launching conference was held on 19.02.2015. The event was opened by a short artistic performance provided by a group of students from the School. 6 “Antipa” Botosani, followed by a message from Botosani City representatives and partners involved in the project – Bistrita City Hall and Association “Love and Trust” Iasi.

The conference continued with the presentation by the project team, on the objectives and main activities planned, ending with a session of questions and discussion.

The closing conference was organized on 26.10.2016. During the event there were presented results of the project: promoting multicultural diversity by organizing four festivals (2 in Botosani, one in Iasi and one in Bistrita) and a series of cultural events (Iasi), making a documentary film on the culture and traditions of multiethnic, strengthening intercultural dialogue and the development of cooperation and expanding possibilities for conducting various activities in the field of arts and culture at regional and interregional levels by organizing 12 workshops with experts in culture and arts that led to the drafting and printing 3 sectoral studies on culture and arts of the 3 areas, disseminated through a promotion and advocacy campaign held to understand cultural diversity in Romania and the EEA countries.

The conference was concluded with a brief artistic presented by local celebrity Oana Tabultoc, who performed a song in Russian.
